The 3Shields School Safety Education training program incorporates foundational knowledge provided by the U.S. Departments of Justice (2018), Education (2019), Homeland Security (2018), Health and Human Services (2013). The program is aligned with the guidelines of operational readiness procedures recommended by the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the U.S. Department of Education Readiness and Emergency Management for Schools(REMS), and the Department of Homeland Security Incident Command System (ICS) as delineated by the National Incident Management System (NIMS). Certified Safe Schools Training is additionally supports the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (“FERPA”)
